Our Team

More than a band of pretty faces, our team is made up of a small group of artisans and book lovers, some who have been with us for more than ten years. We have developed our skills and philosophy, and take pride in our work ethic.

We are young and old, experienced and dynamic, professional, and driven. We have authors ranging in age from 16 to 75. We want all of our authors to be financially successful and we work to make that happen. Our business model continues to evolve as we enjoy more than two decades of publishing.

NOTICE: Charles River Press is not affiliated in any way with the publishing website, "Charles River Editors". There are no editors or authors. This so-called "publisher" downloads public domain books, changes them a bit, slaps a cover on it, and sells it as "Charles River Editors". This "publisher" purposely chose a company name that insinuates a connection to Charles River Press. We are real people and real authors. When this unscroupulous "publisher" receives a complaint, he tells them to contact "the parent company, Charles River Press", to lodge a complaint. We have received a steady stream of complaints over the 12 years this "publisher" has been gaming the public. The best way to hold this "publisher" accountable is to complain to Amazon. Leave a bad review. Contact them directly and let them know of your negative experience with this "publisher". It is the only way Amazon will take action.

The author reviews the editors' changes and either accepts or rejects the edits. A few rounds of back and forth polish ensue before a final manuscript is generated and the author signs off on the document. Our interior designers will layout your text to give it character and elegance. The interior file and cover files are sent to the printer and a print proof is ordered. One copy is shipped to the author and one copy to the publisher.

Once the author signs off on the print proof:

  • Advance copies are available to order.
  • Distribution setup begins.

867-5309 JENNY by Alex Call. "My old friend and colleague, Alex Call, has captured the essence of what is was like to be in a band in a van back in the good old days of 60's, 70's and 80's rock. We had some good times and some hard times, too. Alex and I used to sit facing backwards in the back seat of our station wagon as we drove from gig to gig."

– John McFee, Lead Guitarist, Doobie Brothers

COACHING HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL by Perry Gilmore. "Gilmore has done a wonderful job of giving aspiring high school coaches the basics of the game of football and how to coach it. If you are new to coaching, this is a must read."

867-5309 JENNY by Alex Call. "As a member of the venerated Clover, Alex Call was one of the orginal Marin County rockers. With the hits he wrote for Tommy Tutone and Huey Lewis and the News, he introduced those darn hippies to modern rock. Call sings them like he writes them, smooth and soulful. One of the best kept secrets of the San Francisco Music scene."

– Joel Selvin, music critic, San Franciso Chronicle

RAM I AM by Jonathan Womack. "An exceptionally gripping and imaginative science fiction novel. It builds on two decades of psychic exploration pursued by the CIA in its operational Star Gate program, which I co-founded. Read this thrilling novel, and you won’t be disappointed."
