Michael A. Sherlock is an atheist author, or "New Atheist" author, although he rejects the label New Atheist as being nothing more than a derogatory nomenclature describing atheists who refuse to simply sit idly by and say nothing while religion wreaks havoc on our planet. His work has received the praise of Richard Dawkins and in one review he was called "the next Christopher Hitchens". Sherlock, as he is often called, was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He spent many years in Tasmania, where he studied social anthropology, sociology, political science and Law at the University of Tasmania. Sherlock is currently studying a Master's Degree in Religion at the University of New England. Sherlock's aim as an author is to expose the "sacred" lies, frauds and forgeries of religion. Sherlock says: "Before we can clear a path to finding truth, whatever that may be, we must first neutralize the filth which has infected the minds of so many...Supernaturalism, superstition, pseudo-science, and religion, all embody this mental filth, and the scientific method, with its humble, honest and evidence-based approach to questions of probable truth, represents the neutralizer."
Carol Van Atta is no stranger to the written word. She penned her first novel at the wee age of seven, somewhat terrifying illustrations included. Her increasing love for both reading and writing kept her busy growing up. She was often spotted with her nose in a book or a pen in her hand. (She's graduated to a Kindle and a computer). Carol was first published in her high school newspaper, and then moved on to magazine articles, "real" newspaper articles, anthologies, devotional books, and finally to book books. With a background writing for the inspirational market, her sudden urge to write paranormal romance and urban fantasy was somewhat surprising. She believes this latest fancy was the result of two suspicious red marks on her neck, and an overwhelming desire to howl at the moon. Do not fear... she continues to write inspirational books as well. She might be considered confused, or simply diverse. She hopes her readers see her as the latter, though she understands some of her readers might prefer one genre to another, therefore, she encourages readers to investigate her books to make appropriate reading selections. Carol hopes you, too, read and enjoy multiple genres and will join her as she experiments with numerous writing projects. She lives in the rainy wetlands of Oregon with her teenage daughter, her American Eskimo, Stryder, and three cats.
My stories, whether novel, novella, short story, poem or flash fiction, allow readers to open their imaginations and enter a world teeming with history, danger, thrills, horror, paranormal and humor. You'll join or run beside, chase or fight characters you believe in, can love or hate, cringe at, shiver with or root for as they take you on colorful adventures.

Before the summer of 2003 I never would have imagined anything like this could happen; that cancer would touch our family - take my child. We were ordinary people; nice house, dog, cat. I loved being a Mom. We played: marching band and dress up, danced in the rain, stomped barefoot in puddles, finger painted, baked bread and cookies, rode bikes, read stories, built forts and snowmen. Life was busy. There was school; homework done at the kitchen table, plays, concerts, class trips and later on dances. Brownies, Little League and Youth Soccer. My Mom told me one day, "Enjoy it. These will be some of the best times of your life." How right she was. This is the story of my daughter Juliette who passed from cancer at age nineteen; told in three parts through Juliette's journals and poems covering the last seven years of her life, part 2 consist of my thoughts and recollections of memorable times that affected me most, be it triumph or tragedy, frolic or fright. Part 3 details the time after my daughter's passing when I hired a medium in an effort to communicate with the other side. I know in my heart Juliette is alive and existing elsewhere. I hope to invoke similar journeys of discovery in those who have lost a child. Juliette told me through a medium, "I'm not dead, not really dead. Not like people think." Death brings an end to our physical bodies but the spirit/soul lives on. Now, Juliette flies "Between Two Worlds."
John William McMullen is the author of The Last Blackrobe Of Indiana And The Potawatomi Trail Of Death. McMullen resides in Evansville, Indiana with his wife and children.
Born on September 11th, 1959, Jonathan Womack began leaving his body on the night of Oct. 6th, 1965 after watching an episode of the TV show, "Lost in Space". A year later, after watching the Saturday morning cartoon, "The Adventures of Superboy", Jonathan's energy-body began donning the astral cape and leotards during his OBE travels.
First conceived of in 1985, it was not until January, 1999, when "the voice over his shoulder" said ...now is the time. Jonathan took pen in hand and weaved some of his experiences into the fabric of an out-of-body superhero adventure involving a terrorist attack on American soil. Jonathan was writing the climactic ending when 9/11 struck. The manuscript was shelved indefinitely.
Jonathan has spent more than half-a-century exploring the here-and-now, the astral-planes, and the higher-realms. He has had a positive effect on people trampled with adversity and parents grieving the loss of a child. His books, TV and film projects present his view that surviving physical death is an automatic process and we are all souls taking part in earth-school.
