Tips

Keep your cover letter to one page. Be brief and to the point.

Craft a tag line that will get our attention. We love writers, sell it to us.

Be mindful of your word count. A higher page count means higher print costs.

overview

To have your manuscript considered for publication, submit your work according to the charles river press guidelines.

We are currently accepting sports and erotica manuscripts. Your pitch should include a few sample chapters. If we like your work, we will request the full manuscript. Include the genre, word count, and author bio. If you choose to include an author photo then all the better. Do not confuse an outline with a synopsis. Your synopsis should be a few paragraphs in length. Draw us in with a clever tag line with our prose and plot. If you have any reviews, a website and social media channels, let us know. How do you plan to market the book once it is published? Make sure you include your contact info. We respond to submissions within 4 to 6 weeks.

Sports submissions; we are accepting instructional manuals, biographies and autobiographies. If you have any questions regarding our submission process, contact us at info@charlesriverpress.com
